Through individualized feedback, video analysis, and game-representative training, we prepare goalkeepers to be active participants in team build-up, command their area with confidence, and make data-informed decisions under pressure. JAKE HEIHSEL
GK Director
Jake Heihsel serves as the Goalkeeper Director at New England Force, bringing extensive experience developing goalkeepers at the youth, academy, and elite levels. His coaching philosophy centers on building complete goalkeepers by emphasizing technical precision, tactical awareness, mental resilience, and confident decision-making in match situations.
Jake most recently served as Director of Goalkeeping and MLS NEXT Assistant & Goalkeeper Coach at Valeo FC, where he designed and implemented a comprehensive goalkeeper curriculum, developed individualized player development plans, and worked closely with coaching staff to integrate goalkeepers into each team's tactical identity. In 2024, he also represented the Jamaica U17 Youth National Team as Goalkeeper Coach, helping lead goalkeeper training camps while supporting the continued growth of the country's goalkeeper development pathway.
A former NCAA Division I goalkeeper at UMass Lowell, Jake enjoyed a standout collegiate career, finishing his senior season nationally ranked in saves per game and total saves. His playing experience also includes time with New England Revolution II (MLS NEXT Pro), Western Mass Pioneers (USL2), and Boston Street Soccer FC, where he earned UPSL New England Conference Goalkeeper of the Season honors.
Jake holds his USSF D License along with U.S. Soccer Goalkeeping Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications. He is passionate about creating an environment that challenges goalkeepers to reach their full potential while fostering confidence, professionalism, and a lifelong love of the game.
